Every One Wants to Be a Rock Star: Edge Crosses Over into Video Games
MIAMI, March 31, 2010 - Houston-based band Edge adds video game rock stars to its already long list of accomplishments with the song Underwater I Drown, being featured on X Box 360 - Rock Band 2 game.
The popular Rock Band series has become a favorite among young video game players and adults alike by allowing the users to perform their favorite songs, a collection of music from various talented bands and musicians. Edge was selected from a large group of bands considered for the spot on the game.
Its an honor to be on Rock Band 2 and I am excited that my drum part is considered an upper level of difficulty, said Edge drummer Alex Serrano. We have worked hard over the past 13 years and put a lot of dedication and love into what we do. It feels good to see our name out there, where music fans can enjoy it and become a part of it.
Edge is a multicultural alternative rock band that fuses rock with other genres, including Latin and Persian, to create a flavorful sound, completed by poetic lyrics. The song being featured on Rock Band 2 was considered by game experts as highly skillful and was given an overall band difficulty level of three out of five ratings.

EDGE fue iniciado por Alex Serrano y Nolan J. Vander Haagen en 1996, cuando tenÃan 14 y 16 años de edad. A temprana edad, los dos descubrieron su pasión por la música. En 1998, Edge lanzó su primer álbum titulado "Criticize". El álbum fue una mezcla cruda con rabia adolescente indefinida. El siguiente álbum, "As She Runs," introdujo a Carl Beatty como el nuevo bajista. El cual le añadio un sonido más progresista a la banda. En el 2006, Edge lanzó su tercer álbum de larga duración titulado "Fight", que los llevó de vuelta a un estilo de rock alternativo. Fight también presenta a el mas reciente integrante, Tommy Vanos, como guitarrista. Su último álbum, "Venus in Furs", fue lanzado a principios del 2009, que incluÃa tanto a Vanos como a Masum en la guitarra. El álbum es musicalmente diverso con un sonido de rock internacional. Edge es ahora de nuevo una banda de cuatro integrantes. A fines de año la banda comenzó la preproducción de su próximo disco con la esperanza de descubrir una audiencia mundialmente más grande.
EDGE es un banda multi-cultural con una fusión de idiomas de la música rock. Los cinco miembros representan una combinacion de raÃces españolas, holandesas, cubanas, mejicanas, italianas, puertorriqueñas y africanas. Teniendo en cuenta sus antecedentes al crecer en los Estados Unidos y tratando de conectarse con sus raÃces, se sienten que la música es la mejor manera de llegarle al mundo. La música le habla a todos en todas partes del mundo.
